Ranger RT / Triton TXP Models - Ranger changed the steering wheel to a 1 piece Steering Wheel/ Cog. If yours boat has Hydraulic Steering, then your steering wheel should measure from the dash to the inside top edge of steering wheel, it should read about 6 3/8 - 6 5/8", If that is the case, then no spacer should be needed in most cases. If it is 4" on that measurement, then you will need a complete changeover kit to be able to add a spacer to increase area between steering wheel and unit.
Includes: New 6 screw Steering Wheel, cap, button, New steering shaft Cog, SS Screws, 2 1/2" Steering Spacer.
**Silver / Carbon Fiber steering wheel is currently out of stock**
Install Instructions : Loosen the center big nut and get the nut top head just above your shaft, put your knees under the steering wheel to put pressure on the bottom side and then pull the top side of steering wheel with your free hand, then pop that center nut with a hammer and it should pop lose. You may need to spray the shaft with WD-40 and let sit for 15 minutes, it may take a few times to get it loose. Be sure to not hit the shaft head, the nut should be just above the shaft head.
If the cog does not pop free, then you may need to use a wheel puller to get it off the shaft. When you get that off, put our steering cog on the shaft with the keyway in place, tighten nut down.
Then make sure motor is straight, place our steering spacer on top of the steering cog, then the steering wheel and cap, then align holes and install the longer screws we send with it, tighten bolts.
Installation Time: Approximately 5 minutes
